The release of ARK Survival Ascended has brought about a plethora of new features and content, thanks to the game's extensive overhaul using the Unreal Engine 5. However, with all these technical and content changes, many players are wondering if long-standing traditions like the Turkey Trial event will make a return for Thanksgiving.

If you're eager to find out whether we can expect a Turkey Trial event this year in ARK Survival Ascended, keep reading. We'll delve into all the details we currently have regarding a potential 2023 Turkey Trial event, including its release date and content.

ARK Survival Ascended Turkey Trial Event - Start Date

Update (8th December 2023) - The developers have confirmed that the Turkey Trial event will begin today on the 8th November 2023, and run for roughly two weeks, similar to previous Turkey Trial events.

As of the current writing, there is no official start date for a potential Turkey Trial event in ARK Survival Ascended, and the developers have not provided any official information about the event.

While it's possible to speculate that the event might start on Thanksgiving (November 24, 2023), this remains purely speculative at this point. However, there are some reasons to believe that the event might be on the horizon.

One reason for this belief is that ARK Survival Ascended's predecessor, Survival Evolved, regularly featured a variety of events and year-round content additions. These events halted around mid-2022, likely to prepare for the release of Survival Ascended.

With Ascended now released, the developers may be focused on ensuring the game's stability and addressing any launch issues it may be facing. Once the path is clear and the game stabilizes, we'll likely see many events introduced in Ascended.

This is supported by the developers' statements, as they mentioned in their Community Crunch 355: ARK Roadmap that ARK Survival Ascended will not only include lots of new content but also "newly-designed holiday events take advantage of the next-gen pipeline, released as mods, so they're always available to play."

Even if the developers miss this year's Turkey Trial event in favor of fine-tuning the game, seasonal events will likely be introduced to the game soon.

ARK Survival Ascended Turkey Trial Event - Content and Features

As we currently lack specific information about what a new Turkey Trial event in ARK Survival Ascended might entail, we can look back at previous iterations for context.

The previous Turkey Trial event included content such as XP boosts, taming and breeding boosts, the introduction of new creatures like the DodoRex and Super Turkey, and exclusive items such as Turkey Costume skins and other clothing cosmetics.

It's plausible that when this event continues in ARK Survival Ascended, we may see rewards and content similar to the previous event, but this is purely speculative. Ultimately, we'll have to wait for more details to emerge regarding this iconic seasonal event.

As always, stay tuned for updates, as we'll keep you informed as soon as any news becomes available about the Turkey Trial event in ARK Survival Ascended.
