Warhammer 40K Darktide has just dished out its 1.0.7 update patch notes, and developer Fatshark says plenty of tweaks – from balance to gameplay – are on the way to the action game ahead of its launch date. The studio has also given console players a glimpse of when the Warhammer 40K Darktide console release date will be announced.
Tucked away in the patch notes’ FAQ, Fatshark acknowledges that it is one of the “top questions console players have”. According to the studio, more news on the Warhammer 40K Darktide console release date will be available “as soon as possible and likely immediately after” the release date arrives for PC.
Darktide has only been announced for the Xbox Series X|S so far, and is reportedly a timed exclusive on the Xbox platform alongside a Warhammer 40K Darktide Game Pass launch. So PlayStation players hoping to get in on the action will most likely remain out of luck for some time.
Alongside the hopefully-impending console release date announcement and pre-order beta balance tweaks, Fatshark acknowledges the various issues players have been having in-game, particularly regarding performance and server issues.
While the Warhammer 40K Darktide console release should be coming sooner rather than later, as the studio says: “we have work to do” before it’s shipshape and in shape to ship.
